How to find all your .pub files

Before Publisher goes away, gather every .pub file you own. Old newsletters, flyers and forms are easy to forget. Here is how to find them.

On Windows

1. Open File Explorer and click on the Documents folder, or on This PC to search everything.
2. In the search box at the top right, type *.pub and press Enter.
3. Wait for the search to finish. Select the files you want and copy them into one new folder.

On a Mac

1. Open Finder and press Command and F.
2. Set the first menu to Name and the second to ends with, then type .pub.
3. Copy the results into one folder.

On a Chromebook

1. Open the Files app and click in the search box.
2. Type .pub and press Enter. Search My files and Google Drive.
3. Move the files you find into one folder.

In Google Drive, OneDrive or email

Type .pub into the search box. Old email attachments are a common hiding place for these files, so search your sent mail and your inbox too.
